Activities and Information

o All activity photos in the possession of the webmaster for the 2010 cruising season have been posted. Activities for 2011 will be posted later in the Spring. The New Member Application reflecting the current dues is now attached. See below.

o One activity of the GYC that we feel brings a great sense of community to our membership is the Kids Cruise sponsored each summer for certain disadvantaged children. See the following link to view a “Thank You” to the Commodore for this outing: Our Day on Xanadu 2010

o To order from the “Ship’s Store”, see our web page for details - Ship’s Store. All You Need to do is to Contact Ross Marine at: 1-800-327-8929. View Their Catalog at www.rossmarineideas.com. Mention GYC for your discount.

o Local Events of Interest:

The Mainstay, a musical and cultural events center in Rock Hall. By all means, check out this eclectic venue for music and jazz. Somewhere between the old Ratskeller in Chapel Hill and the old Brass Rail in Chicago, this is the best jazz buy on the East Coast. At usually only $15 per ticket you can listen to nationally ranked professionals and local talent. How do they do it? I don’t know, but reservations advised. Check out their site and sign up for email notice. http://www.mainstayrockhall.org/
More local attractions can be accessed from links on the Captain’s Corner page.

GEORGETOWN YACHT CLUB

The GYC is open to all boating enthusiasts and is comprised typically of members docked at the attractive marinas or living in the communities near the headwaters of the Sassafras River.  The club enjoys year round activities, but is especially social during the boating season,
